Lesson 10: AMD, Kill Zones, Turtle Soup, CRT, CISD

Don't skip any topic. Study carefully to maximize your knowledge.

๐Ÿ“Œ Special Feature of This Lesson

Don't skip any topic. Study carefully because you need to learn these things without any gaps. I'll explain each topic clearly with examples. Learn with full attention. Take notes if you need to.

๐Ÿ“‹ 5 Topics in This Lesson

  • 1) AMD (Power of Three)
  • 2) Sessions and Kill Zones
  • 3) Turtle Soup
  • 4) Candle Range Theory (CRT)
  • 5) Change in State of Delivery (CISD)

1) AMD - Power of Three

Crypto and forex markets move in a specific way. We divide it into three parts. We call this the Power Of Three. Most of the time, the Market runs in these three ways.

  • ACCUMULATION: First, the market runs between two price levels. Simply put, it goes sideways.
  • MANIPULATION: Then it starts to run to the up side or down side to grab liquidity.
  • DISTRIBUTION: Then the third thing that happens is the market runs freely.

2) Sessions and Kill Zones

The times when markets in different countries work are what we call sessions. Sessions start when banks in countries open. When banks open, the session also opens.

The most important thing within these times is what we call kill zones. When looking at these kill zones, we use NY (New York) times.

  • Mid Night Open: 00:00
  • London Open: 02:00 - 05:00
  • New York Open: 07:00 - 10:00
  • Asian Range: 20:00 - 00:00
Kill Zones Timeline

The Market is most likely to move in this way: ACCUMULATION = ASIAN RANGE, MANIPULATION = LONDON OPEN, DISTRIBUTION = NEW YORK OPEN

3) Turtle Soup

In the POWER OF THREE (AMD) we discussed earlier, it's during the manipulation phase that we can see this TURTLE SOUP. After a HIGH or LOW is broken by a candle wick, that's when we call it a TURTLE SOUP.

4) Candle Range Theory (CRT)

When a candle's high or low is broken by the wick of the next candle and the market runs in the opposite direction, we call that a CRT.

  • Identification: After a candle's high or low is broken by a wick and closes, we can identify it.
  • Entry: After the high or low is broken by a wick and closes, we can take entries.
  • Confirmation: It needs more confirmation. We'll look at those later.
  • Take Profit: Here, when taking TP, we can target about 50% of the candle.

5) Change in State of Delivery (CISD)

The strong candle that forms at the end when taking Liquidity, or the most powerful candle, we can take that as a CISD Candle.

  • Different Views: Different traders have different views. That's because of how they've learned.
  • Multiple Candles: Sometimes when taking liquidity, we take the last few buy candles or sell candles. Or some people take only the last candle.
  • Flexibility: Here, depending on how the market has moved before and the risk we can take, we can take CISD in two ways.

๐ŸŽฏ Practical Application

When entering trades, we mostly use LONDON and NEW YORK zones. The usage of ASIAN zone is very low. Don't just blindly trust POWER OF THREE and take entries. You need to analyze properly before taking entries.
