Lesson 12: 5 Entry Setups - How to Enter a Trade

How do we take an entry? We discuss 5 methods. Memorize these 5 entry methods carefully.

๐Ÿ“Œ Special Feature of This Lesson

We are talking about how to take an entry. Here we discuss 5 methods. Memorize these 5 entry methods carefully because this is the most important part. Now let's explain these entry setups one by one with examples.

1) Time Frame Market Structure Entry Setup

  • Step 1 (Daily TF): First, go to the Daily Time Frame and mark PD Arrays. That means supply, demand, OB, FVG, BB, OTE, etc.
  • Step 2 (4H TF): Next, go to the 4H time frame and wait for the market to give a CHOCH.
  • Step 3 (4H TF): After a CHOCH forms, mark PD Arrays on the 4H time frame as well.
  • Step 4 (15M TF): Then go to the 15M time frame, wait for a CHOCH, and take an entry from a supply, demand, OB, FVG, BB, OTE zone in the Discount zone.
  • Confirmation: Here you can use Divergence as extra confirmation.
  • Refinement (5M TF): If there are multiple zones on the 15M chart and you can't choose the right one, you can look for a CHOCH on the 5M to take the Entry.

2) Turtle Soup + CISD (TSC)

In this entry setup, the first thing we need to do is find the TS. Don't go for this setup without it. Then properly identify the CISD candle.

  • Time Frame Selection: It's better to look for a CISD on a smaller time frame if there's a TS on a larger time frame (like 2H, 3H, 4H). The probability is relatively higher.
  • Entry Trigger: After that, when that candle breaks, you can take the entry. You can take an entry immediately after the break using SL properly. Or wait for the market to pullback and take the entry then.
  • Main Time Frame: The 4H time frame is a main time frame. Therefore, taking entries in the direction of the 4H trend is much safer.

3) CRT + CISD

  • Step 1 (HTF CRT): First, identify the CRT on your desired time frame. Here, the candle that took liquidity must NOT have its 50% filled by the CRT candle.
  • Step 2 (LTF CISD): Next, identify the CISD candle on a time frame lower than the one you watched.
  • Step 3 (Entry): Then when it breaks, you can take the entry. You can take it immediately after the break or when the market comes back to that level.
  • Recommendation: But with my personal experience, I recommend not taking it immediately after the break, but waiting for the market to reverse and come back to that level before taking the entry.
  • Best Time Frames: Normally, the best time frames to look for CRT are higher time frames. That means look at least from 1H upwards. Look at 1H. No problem. Then look at 4H and Daily candles.

4) ICT 2022 Entry Model

  • Condition 1: This setup must form inside a Kill Zone. Next, liquidity must be taken. Additionally, a CHOCH must have formed.
  • Condition 2: After a CHOCH forms, it must be a displacement. Next, there must be an FVG.
  • Time Frames: When considering the time frame, we can use 5m, 10m, 15m, etc.

5) Kill Zone Entry

  • Sessions: We can take these entries during the kill zones of London and New York sessions.
  • Entry Location: We can take a sell entry above the kill zone and a buy entry below the kill zone.
  • LTF Confirmation: If a CHOCH has formed on 1m, 5m, and 15m time frames, we can take an entry.
